Another Book Project.

I’m really fed up with this damn pandemic!  Because I belong to the most vulnerable class of potential victims (old and decrepit) , and with a wife and daughter functioning as watchdogs, I’ve only left our property maybe 8 or 10 times in the past eight months. And each time it’s been under strict orders to go to the doctor’s appointment or to pickup the prescription (the pharmacy offers curb side handoff), and come straight home.

Looking for a way to pass the time in some sort of productive way, I have entered the nebulous world of self-publishing and have spent the past several weeks working on a book.

It’s a collection of stories—some long and some short, and many are about train travel. Some were taken from this blog and others from stories of mine that originally ran in the Sunday travel sections of mainland newspapers. I’ve also pulled together about 25 photographs and I’ll include as many of them as I can, depending on how much it will cost to include them.

I’ll have more about the book here in coming days and weeks. As of now, I’ll be working with Kindall Direct Publishing which is a subsidiary of Amazon.

Here’s the cover. The photo was taken from the dome car at the rear of VIA Rail’s Train #1 en route to Vancouver. The Rockies have just come into sight.
