My Opinion: Amtrak’s Most Scenic Train Ride

I’m sure I’ll get an argument from some, but I think the California Zephyr is the most scenic train ride offered by Amtrak. I’m going to be taking this train in early May and will provide a detailed travelogue with photos soon after I get home to Maui.

This is Donner Lake in the Sierra Madre Mountains of California … just one of the great vistas to which passengers on the Zephyr are treated during the two-night journey between Chicago and the Bay Area in California.

Summer’s coming. Why not plan a train trip with the whole family?
