Snow in Hawaii? You Bet Your Frozen Extremities!

We’ve had heavy rain for the past several days which has caused flooding and messed up a lot of the narrow winding roads here in “upcountry” Maui. But over on the Big Island, up on the 14,000-foot volcano Mauna Kea, they got quite a dusting of the white stuff.

Oh, by the way … according to a recent survey, we folks lucky enough to call Hawaii home are judged to be the happiest people in all the U.S. I’m not surprised although I don’t think they surveyed my born-and-raised-here wife on one of the rainy, chilly mornings we’ve had lately.
